Murphy.

Murphy is one of the more established suburban addresses in southern Collin County, and it filled in over a fairly concentrated period, largely through the late 1990s and 2000s. The houses tend to be larger than the regional average and they were finished to a decent standard at the time, which makes them a particular kind of remodeling job today.

Nothing is wrong with these houses structurally. What has aged is the taste and the wear: garden tubs nobody has used in a decade taking up half a primary bathroom, tile and counters in the palette of the year they were built, and kitchens that were considered open at the time and read closed now. Converting an oversized tub into a proper walk in tile shower is one of the most common jobs we are asked for here, and it is one where the waterproofing underneath matters far more than whatever goes on top of it.
