Rockwall is the county seat and the most established address in the county, which shows up in the housing. There are 1980s and 1990s homes near the older parts of town whose kitchens and bathrooms are now on their second or third life, and there is newer construction closer to the lake where the finish level is high and the expectations that come with it are higher. Both are good remodeling markets and they need different conversations.

Proximity to Lake Ray Hubbard is what makes this a natural fit for the work we came up in. Homes with lake views tend to justify natural stone, full slab shower walls, large format tile, and the kind of primary bathroom that is worth doing once and properly. That is the end of the market where the difference between a tile setter and a general contractor who subcontracts tile is visible from the doorway, and it is where thirty four years in the trade earns its keep.
